in March to stroll the snowdrop walk, bursting with spring bulbs,
hellebores and dwarf iris blooming along the Avenue.
Walk in the winter garden and if you're lucky you will hear Curlews
over the Goose Meadow and toads in the wildlife pond.
Summer days Bask in the serenity
of the Meditation garden, watching swallows
and dragonflies over the pond or newts lying in the shallows.
Experience the Bowes Garden with its aromatic foliage plants.
Pause in the Slate garden to appreciate the colour and scent
in this area planted to attract the butterflies.
Autumn Wind down to winter
with the blazing colour
of autumn in the shrub borders.
Fruits and seed heads are left for the birds
throughout the herbaceous borders.
Autumn crocus and colchicums provide splashes of colour
into November when we close to start yet another
winter project and make new plants for next year.
